The Results Are In

Well, the Saved by the Bell polls closed a few days ago. Thanks to everyone who weighed in on what can only be described as a hot-button issue:

Who’s been the most successful member of the cast since the show ended?

I promised your votes would give rise to the first entry in D-O-ipedia (a link to which has been added over on the right), and I wanted to bring them to life in the creative manner they deserve. As such, I enlisted the help of xtranormal.com again.

Behold: Democracy in action.

Two things:Who could forget, “I’m so excited. I’m so excited. I’m…..so…..scared”?And,The future Mrs. Cha-man and myself went to see a Detroit Shock WNBA game (don’t ask) and we were pleasantly surprised to see the promotion for the game was a chance to meet Dustin Diamond. After standing in line for an hour, we got an autograph and a picture, but the highlight of the night came before the ceremonial opening tip. They introduced Dustin, and as he walked out to center court he leaned into the microphone and said, “You down with O.P.P.?” This was like in 2001, so the song had been dead for about 10 years and the silence from the 1,500 fans in attendance that night at the Palace was deafening. For that performance alone he gets my vote for best post-Saved By the Bell career.

Had I heard this story prior to creating the video, I don't know that, in good conscience, I could have denied him the number one spot.Great to have you in the DO, Cha-Man. And I love the profile pic; the king still rules.
