Since January, I’ve been creating these “Cards They Should Make,” which later became a regular Friday feature here in the dining room office. But when I sat down to work on this week’s installment, this is what I came up with:
I don’t know if this is just heat-induced apathy—the haze may have caused me to hallucinate about the days when Dairy Queen still called its slush a Mr. Misty—or if it’s time to move on and do something different on Fridays.
Specifically, I’m thinking of getting back to actually writing something longer than a tweet on PED’s each week. It’s a very out-of-the-box idea for a writer, I know, but I’m always looking to break new ground.
Before I make this decision, however, I’d like some feedback from you, my loyal reader(s) (I realize that “s” may be presumptuous). Do I reclaim my status as one of your favorite writers of humor no one else has ever seen, or do I push through the mid-summer malaise and keep kicking out Hallmark walks of shame?
You can register your vote in the poll on the right. “C, None of the above” is not an option, and no, I can’t figure out how to keep it from repeating the question.
I’ve made my peace with that. You must, too.
