The Envelope, Please

Last week, Lisa Kelly was my guest for “50 Words or Less(-ish) Fridays” and generously offered to give away a signed copy of her new book, Echoes From the End Zone: The Men We Became, to one lucky commenter on the post drawn at random.

The entry period closed today at 9:00 a.m. Eastern, with a total of 21 comments received. Please note I did NOT count those comments made by Lisa in response to entrants’ comments, as it would be pretty lame if I pulled her name to win her own book; that’s why the total of 21 listed here does not match what appears at the top of the comment section at the bottom of the post.

I then put 1-21 in a random number generator, and this it what it spit out:

Random Number Generator pulling No. 17

And fittingly, for a book about Notre Dame football, commenter No. 17 and the winner of the contest is none other than that holy Twitter personality known simply as First Down Moses (@FirstDownMoses). Lisa will be in touch with you shortly to get your information so she can send you the book in a way that is sure to be as awe-inspiring as the delivery of the 10 Commandments.

Thanks to everyone who participated and especially to Lisa for doing this cool giveaway. And be sure to keep coming back for “50 Words or Less(-ish) Fridays.” I can’t promise free books every time, but as the archive of past guests illustrates, I can guarantee you’ll meet some cool people.
