I will be the first to admit this is a shameless attempt to get Jon Taffer, the star of Spike’s show Bar Rescue, to follow me on Twitter. But my reason is pure:
The show is friggin’-flangin’ awesome, so much so that when I watch it, I’m usually good for at least one or two triumphant shouts of “Taffer!” per hourlong episode.
That’s probably not helping my case. I swear I’m not creepy, Jon. Well, not that creepy.
Bar Rescue gets marathoned on Sundays, and there are currently 12 of them on our DVR. In each episode, Jon and his team of experts will go into a failing bar—say one where stuff like this is happening:

and turn the place around, saving the proprietors from losing their business. It serves to both entertain the audience and do some good.
I mean, a horse pooped in that bar. POOPED.
TV can still be fun.
